The Dangers Of The Blue Diet Pill
February 14, 2015Phentermine is an online weight loss drug known as the blue diet pill. Little is known about this little speckled pill by those who buy and take it. They are merely searching at all costs to find a miracle drug to help them become thin quickly. Many countries do not have a high standard for regulating the production of medicines and drugs, and although some countries have actually banned Phentermine, it is still available on the Internet.
There are many reviews by women on the Web about how this drug has helped them lose massive amount of weight and become slim in a matter of days or weeks. However, what they fail to mention is the many side effects that can accompany the consumption of this drug, or how addictive it can actually be.
This drug actually works as an appetite suppressant to reduce the feeling of hunger that one experiences. But it is filled with dangerous drugs, all of which are not even known. They are taken innocently by many unknowing victims who soon find themselves addicted and living under their control.
The side effects of this drug are devastating to anyone trying to live a normal life. Though you may see results in the form of weight loss, the risks and side effects you will have to deal with are not worth it. Eventually, you will have to take more and more of the drug to keep losing weight, and when and if you are able to stop taking it, the weight will quickly pile back on.
The side effects include mood swings, nausea, fainting, anxiousness, violence, paranoia, raised blood pressure, seizures, vomiting, stroke, heart attack, and when combined with other drugs or alcohol, death is possible. In recent years, there have been several cases of models or actresses whose deaths were contributed to just this: combining an overdose of weight loss pills with alcohol.
Do not fall prey to the clutches of a drug such as this little blue pill. If you are struggling with weight problems, talk to your doctor, find a good dietitian, and take care of your weight in a way that will ultimately be beneficial for your health and not detrimental.

General Motors Diet (gm Diet) For Weight Loss
February 10, 2015Diet is a crucial factor in weight loss but selecting right diet plan is more important. This article emphasize on General Motors Diet plan and how it helps in losing weight.
General Motors Diet, commonly known as GM diet was originally developed for employees and dependents of General Motors, Inc. and was intended for their exclusive use in the 1980s. The GM diet makers also believed that it would improve attitudes and emotions because of its cleansing effects in the body. The seven day plan is though to burn more calories than the body receives. Theoretically, yes. But the human system is rather is rather complicated. The diet contains no alcohol, compulsorily 10 glasses of water per day.
All fruits except bananas on day one.
All vegetables on day two
A mix of fruits and vegetables on day three
Bananas and milk on day four
Beef and tomatoes on day five
Beef and vegetables on day six
Brown rice, fruit juices and vegetables on day seven
Beef has been replaced with rice. A repeat is advised for further weight loss. Pulses are disallowed because they are high in calories. Recipes have been made up revolving around the GM diet.
On the positive side, General Motors diet is good for a week if done once in a blue moon to cleanse the system. However, naturopathy medicine does not allow any kind of meat for cleansing the human system. Only those who can withstand the low energy intake should go for it. On the negative side, when on such a low energy diet the body tends to hold back the fat reserve and burns muscle for energy that is requirement for daily activity. The second and subsequent attempts at weight loss become more and more difficult because the basic rate at which the body burns calories (BMR) slows down. Following this diet repeatedly can deplete the body of energy and some important nutrients when needed. Unfortunately, we cant supply nutrients in installments on different days for the body because the functioning of all nutrients is interrelated. Many followers of GM diet have steadily gained back their weight.

Is A Detox Diet Plan An Effective Tool For Weight Loss
February 8, 2015There is very little question that a detox diet is just plain good for you. Freeing your cells and tissues from harmful toxins and restoring your body back to its optimal function simply cannot be argued against. But whether or not a detox diet is to be implemented for the purposes of weight loss is a different story…sort of.
The truth is, any time you decide to give your body the gift of cleanliness, purity, and renewal, anyone who would try to talk you out of it would be an absolute fool. And here’s the kicker. I have actually heard people suggest that this is a great way to get healthier and more energized, but shouldn’t be used as a primary means of weight loss. I couldn’t disagree more.
Body fat is a defense mechanism. It protects your vital organs, blood vessels, sensitive tissues, cells, and even nerves from acids and pollution within the bloodstream. The fat cells grab onto these dangerous chemicals, essentially trapping them and blocking them from doing damage to the body’s critical players. In football terms, fat cells are your body’s offensive linemen!
But if you’ve got weight to lose, then a detox diet can help the body start getting rid of these toxins, while preventing new toxins from entering. As a result, your body will no longer have any need to hold onto excess fat, and alas, fat loss becomes totally effortless, healthy, and substantial. On certain detox diet plans, you can SAFELY lose up to two pounds a day!
Of course, you don’t want to remain on a detox diet permanently, generally keeping 30 days as your absolute maximum. However, you can implement them several times within a given year. Many nutritionist recommend a 14 day detox once per quarter (4 times per year).
There are many detox diets to choose from, each with varying degrees of intensity and effectiveness. Perhaps the most extreme is a fast, where you will only drink purified water for the entire duration of your cleanse. There are other variations of a fast, such as a green drink cleanse and the Master Cleanse (aka the Lemonade Diet).
Another popular and well-respected detox diet is the Raw Food Diet, which can actually end up becoming a permanent lifestyle plan if followed correctly.
Naturally, you will want to consult with your trusted health care practitioner, who will ideally be someone who is well versed in preventive, natural medicine as opposed to being a gung-ho pharmaceutical pusher who’s only interested in treating symptoms and ignoring causes.
A doctor with a good balance of prevention and treatment focus is a great choice. Talk to him or her about your desire to lose weight with a detox diet and see if they have any recommendations that will meet your specific needs.

Most Common Mistakes When On A Ketogenic Diet
February 7, 2015There are a number of mistakes that people usually make when trying to lose weight on a ketogenic diet, or any other kind of diet as well. Already the person’s attitude alone has a big impact on life and health, and that should already in the beginning be resolved by each person alone. Although a diet may not be a permanent solution, one should lean towards a permanent change, meaning that from the diet one will choose, new habits will be learned, that will be useful even when the diet is over.
One of the common mistakes is the idea that one will lose weight by just eating less and by starving for a certain period of time. Although that way, one can really lose weight, but people everyone should have in mind that that the weight that is lost that way, is mostly result of the water weight reduction and reduction in muscle mass. Most often, when a person reaches a desired weight, in many cases they return back to their old habits, and soon start to gain weight again. As it was mentioned, this is mainly because not much can be learned from these type of diets.
However, there are alternatives, for example, here we will mention the ketogenic diet. This kind of diet is based on a process that we know as ketosis. It is a specific state of the body, that is characterized by elevated levels of ketone bodies in the blood, which occurs because of the conversion of fats into fatty acids and ketones. This happens when the body gets only relatively small amounts of carbohydrates over a period of time.
When one starts such a diet, the body goes through several changes. After 24-48 hours since the beginning of this diet, the body starts to use ketones in order to use the energy stored in fat cells more efficiently. In other words, the primary source of energy becomes fat (fatty acids), instead of carbs (glucose). Because of that, during ketosis it is not a problem to eat food with higher amounts of fat, than would otherwise seem reasonable. This way the body is losing weight relatively fast (specifically fat). Additionaly, the reduction of muscle tissue (proteins) is minimal, since most of the food consumed during ketosis, also contains relatively large amounts of proteins that are good for your muscles.
On a ketogenic diet it is more likely that one will notice and learn the difference between necessary carbohydrates, and the unnecessary ones which most of the people take in amounts that are usually too high. That way, people mostly start to control their intake of food better, and because of that benefits are present in a long term as well.
